We all know that Honda accords, irrespective of what model they are, come in a class of very reliable and elegant cars. Over the years Honda has proved to be one of leading producers of vehicles and cars in almost every field of life. Some of the best selling Accords include Accord sedan, Accord coupe and Accord hybrid. Now if you own an Accord and want to upgrade it then its elegance can be enhanced to a greater extent by few of the very simple modifications. These are mainly of two types, first we have the ones which enhance the outlook of the vehicle, then we have those which improve the drive and functioning of your ride. Considering these both types one should opt for that thing which not only gives your ride an exotic sports car look but also provides you better drive and effective functioning. The thing we are talking about is none other than Honda accord HID kit. This kit comes in various ranges depending upon their colors and temperature ranges of HID lights. There are lot many products available in market with many different specifications. some of which include: Accord HID kit 6000k- 30,000 HID kit, Accord HID kit digital HID kit slim ballasts and Accord HID kit Philips HID kit 4300k or 6000k.
Honda head lights come in pairs, one for each side. They light up the track in front of the driver so that he stays alert at all the times and thus avoiding any accident. Honda has been using the lights which are normally sealed beam type, having the reflector, lens array and the bulb all acting as one unit, this means that if some problem occurs with any of the individual element you have to replace the whole piece. Installation and extraction of these lights is fairly easy as it has prongs which fit into the wiring sockets, making it easy to be pulled out and remounted.
Honda head lights come with a compilation of different lights in one package, everyone placed there for a different purpose, mail headlights are for illuminating the road ahead and rest for the stuff like parking, turning and concerning. These lights come with two different configurations one is high beam and the other one is low beam used according to the visibility ahead.
The HID kit comes with all the necessary items required for conversion and an up gradation to the era of modern technology. High intensity discharge (H.I.D) lamps are becoming very famous nowadays and Honda vehicles are no exception. They reflect different types of glows ranging in temperatures, they also emit fluorescence in various materials. HID bulbs are also very energy efficient as they use 40% less electric current then usual bulbs, resulting in less current extraction from the alternator eventually causing less fuel consumption.

It is inevitable for the businesses to experience fluctuations in terms of profits, shares, revenues or sales. It is because of the fact that not all the factors in the industry are controlled by the corporations. External factors such as the forces of the market greatly affect such fluctuations. Consequently, overriding problems occur. And these things are experienced even by huge companies in the most highly developed countries.
Take the second biggest car maker in Japan as an example. Even though Honda’s foreign sales rose 11 percent, those in Japan dropped 3.4 percent. In effect, the company expects this year’s profit to be down by 3 percent. Things are not as good as they seem for the Japanese automaker even though Honda won the title of the most reliable car in Great Britain in Which? Magazine.
The production in Great Britain is made difficult by certain factors such as the domestic currency, high production costs and the impossibility of expanding the plant.
Takeo Fukui, the president of Honda Motor, said to BBC that they made a mistake and that resisting the euro is a big problem in Britain.
But Honda is not the only manufacturer that criticized Britain’s decision of not introducing the euro. Nissan also objected.
It is impossible to expand the production in Honda’s plant in Swindon because there is no room for expansion for the time being. But there is room in Turkey, where Honda is at present expanding a plant. The plant is growing even though the euro is not the official currency there either. This is for the reason that production costs in Turkey are lower.
Other than the problems in Britain, Honda has also been blown by the tough competition from the domestic manufacturers in Japan. BBC reports that sources at the plant reveal that the plant’s annual profit declined five percent after the sales in Japan had dropped and also after the production costs had risen.
Having such circumstance, Honda expects this year’s final profit to drop three percent.
Japan’s second biggest automobile manufacturer said that aside form the dropping sales in Japan and the costs of research the factor that caused the decline in profit is also the poor exchange rate of the yen.

Body styling and performance aren’t exactly the most impressive features of the 2003 Honda Accord, but they aren’t something to dismiss either. The area where Honda tends to excel is that of fuel efficiency and this model holds true to that theme. This model year is still offered with either coupes or sedan body styles, but it’s the trim packages that offer the most customization. Like the smaller Civic, the Accord can be arranged in such a variety of ways that it offers something for practically every type of driver and budget. Customers could do a lot worse than purchasing one of these cars.
Trim packages available include the basic DX, EX, and LX. There are however some other “special edition” models, but they are rather rare in these days for consumers to purchase. Basic DX models come in either coupes or sedan body styles and were built to give something to the budget minded borrowers. Inside the DX there won’t be too much more than power windows, basic stereo systems, tilt steering wheels, and possibly a few other upgrades. Again, the DX package is far from luxury but it offers enough amenities inside and certainly doesn’t lack in the performance and reliability categories.
EX models are the average trim package offering things like full power accessories, CD players, AC, 17 inch wheels, and many other optional features. LX models are the high end packages and come with sun roofs, full power accessories, optional CD changers, full leather upholstery, and much more.
Engines available include a 4 cylinder 2.2 liter VTEC engine that is very powerful with 145 horsepower and 147 pound feet of torque. Don’t forget that these engines are great on gas and are class leaders while still maintaining their nimble performance capabilities. Also available is a V-6 engine that comes with a 6 speed manual transmission that offers drivers the ability to drive the vehicle for ultimate fuel efficiency.
The suspension has been drastically stiffened up in recent years on the Accord and to great effect. Drivers of the 2003 Honda Accord will notice that handling is very responsive while the overall ride quality is absolutely an enjoyable experience. Compared with competitors like the Hyundai Sonata the ‘03 Accord is still better in nearly every aspect. Hyundai and some other manufacturers have been able to get their fuel economies in the same range as Honda, but are yet to offer the overall ride quality that makes the Accord one of the best choices for consumers in the mid-size family sedan category.
Recommendations are that those who only need reliable transportation without the extra frills should do well with the Basic or EX models. Those who are looking for an all around experience that is highly refined will have to get the LX models. Part of the appeal of the 2003 Honda Accord is that it truly does offer something for everybody while remaining more than fairly affordable. As far as fuel consumption and overall economy budget factors it is hard to argue that there is another car from the ‘03 model year that is a better deal.

I love this time of year! The seasonal music, the lights, manger scenes, and the silly ads on television. No, I am not talking about ads pitching products to put in your stocking or to set under your Christmas tree. Instead, what I like is all the car ads cleverly designed to get you to leave the mall and hit dealer showrooms. There is a lot more then meets the eye when a car ad makes its appearance during the holiday season. It isn’t all ho, ho, ho either! Read on and I will tell you what it is all about.
Happy Honda Days! Yes, playing on the “Happy Holidays” theme the group of five or six “carolers” singing Honda songs are doing what they can do to get you to buy a new Honda. So, why this pitch and why this time of year? For two reasons: consumers are buying Christmas presents, so purchasing a new car is nowhere near the top of anyone’s priorities, and Toyota. Toyota?! Yes, that is right. Toyota and Honda are once again battling for the top spot for the best selling car in America. Long ceded by American automakers who sell more trucks than cars, the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry are the two top selling cars. Guess what? December 31st marks the final day that cars sold can be tabulated as 2005 sales. Honda wants you in their showrooms and they want you to buy. Move over, Toyota!
Don’t think for a moment that Honda is the only manufacturer with a big year end sales drive in place. Virtually all manufacturers are in a race to get you to buy a new car now. Each is hoping that you aren’t too busy to watch a little bit of television, listen to the radio, scour the newspaper, or search the internet in hopes that an ad promoting their product will find its way before your eyes. You can’t shop all the time, right? Right?
To help you out, the following are some of the current campaigns already under way and the brand they are touting:
December to Remember; Lexus
Toyotathon; Toyota
Miles of Freedom Plan; Dodge
Keep It Simple; Ford, Lincoln, Mercury
Red Tag Sale; GM
A to Z Year End Event; Nissan
The Cadillac Season’s Best Sales Event; Cadillac
Winter Event; Mercedes
There is no telling what other sales events are being planned. By the time the new year rolls in, you are likely to be as sick of them as you will be of all the tinsel, the egg nog, and your 47th viewing of “A Christmas Story.”
Happy holidays to you and yours; Happy Honda Days if you are choose to purchase a new car during this already overstressed time of the year!

There a a number of reasons that you might want to modify your Honda Civic exhaust system. Some people do it because they like the sound, some are looking for an increase in both horsepower and torque whereas other just like the look of it. Whichever category you fall into there is a compelling argument to upgrade your exhaust system.
Factory exhausts systems are typically extremely restrictive. This is because car manufacturers have to meet strict noise and emissions guidelines in order to be able to sell their vehicles. The good thing about this is that there is a large amount of power which can be gained by getting rid of this restriction. To get rid of this restriction you need a larger size (in terms of diameter) exhaust piping. There are a number of different places that you can obtain this. Many people buy a prefabricated Civic exhaust from a well known brand, either through a parts store or via the internet. Other people choose to have a custom system made up at their local exhaust shop. This is often cheaper and more effective but quality varies depending on where you go.
The look of the exhausts is generally defined by two things: the kind of material used and the type of muffler installed. Generally exhausts systems are made from either mild or stainless steel, the later being the more expensive. This is due to the fact that it is resistant to rust and more visual appealing. Muffler type will depend on your own individual style.
There are the basics of why you might want to upgrade your Honda Civic exhaust system, but remember in the automotive world there is always more to learn.

1998 Honda Civic is the longest lived vehicle in the manufacturer’s lineup. Being a sub-compact car means that it has a lot of competition from great vehicles like the Toyota Corolla. Amazingly for over 30 years the Civic has been the number one car in it’s class and that doesn’t look like it’s about to change. Not much has been overhauled for the ‘98 model compared with previous years, but a few things have been tweaked for the better. Depending upon the trim package chosen the Civic ranges from rather basic to a fully loaded modern machine.
Still one of the most important aspects behind the car is the great fuel economy that it offers owners. Beyond that integral factor are the small stature that make the vehicle very easy to drive and an overall build quality that makes the vehicle comfortable and pleasant to look at. The trim packages available for the 1998 Honda Civic include the CX, DX, LX, HX, and Si. The basic models include the CX and DX trim levels which don’t really come with a whole lot of extra amenities. Expect one of these vehicles to come without power windows and locks, no AC, and only basic stereo systems. For something a little more refined there are the LX models which have a lot more going on the inside. Standard features for these trim packages include power windows and locks, AC, better audio systems, sun roofs, and more interior fabrics to select from.
The Si level has been outfitted for the year with a more powerful VTEC engine. Most Si models are equipped with the same standard features as the high end LX and have some additional features as optional equipment. A GX model was introduced as well for the year which runs entirely off of natural gas. HX models are hatchbacks that come with the high-end features and are a lot shorter than the standard 2 door coupes. Overall the 1998 Honda Civic comes in a wide variety of trim levels at the upper end and a lot of different power train options for fuel economy.
The standard engine for most vehicles is the 1.6 liter 4 cylinder engine. Most other high end models are some sort of adoption upon that engine to get better horsepower or something else out of it. The standard transmission for most models is a 5 speed manual with a 4 speed automatic as optional equipment. The Si model is equipped with only a 6 speed manual for optimal performance. On gasoline powered models the average fuel efficiency ranges from 29 mpg city to 36 mpg highway. Those numbers make the Civic one of the most economical cars produced for the ‘98 model year.
Overall performance is rather good and the wishbone suspension is certainly what makes the cars handle so nimbly. Compared with cars like the Nissan Altima the 1998 Civic is one of the most pleasant to drive and feels solid on any possible driving surface.
